Nestled in the heart of the historic market town, The Epworth Tap opens its doors to all customers with a love for homecooked food and fine wine.

The town itself is steeped in history, and the ‘Tap’ is no exception. In days gone by the building opened up to locals as a sweetshop until finally becoming the well-renowned restaurant and bistro it is today. Featuring on the town’s popular ‘Ghost walks’ Steve and Sarah often joke to customers that ‘If they are not in, the ghost always will be!’

With a passion for serving fresh local ingredients wherever possible, and an ever-changing menu: there will always be something to please all taste buds. Our highly-trained chef orders seafood fresh from the Grimsby coast and seasonal vegetables from local farms and we are confident that it is these factors that are the reason why Leslie Garratt complemented us as her favourite restaurant!

When you step off the streets of Epworth into the warmth of the ‘Tap’ you will be greeted with a friendly and relaxing rustic atmosphere. The decor embraces a ‘continental’ feel with gentle lighting, inviting scenery and a traditional wine-bar.
